From smart speakers, watches, door locks\u2026 to medical devices, motor sensors, industrial robots\u2026 It is the colossal advance of the <strong>IoT (Internet of Things)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For those who grew up in the 70s, between the beginnings of Star Trek and Star Wars, that science fiction gets closer and closer to our reality; we don't have spaceships yet, although we'll see in the future\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The forecast is 130% increase in IoT connections until 2024 and the market will grow 20% in revenue during 2020.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For instance, studies carried out by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.juniperresearch.com\/home\">Juniper Research<\/a> indicate that the <strong>IoT system turnover\u00a0<\/strong>will reach 66,000 million dollars in 2020, compared to 55,000 million in 2019, <strong>an annual increase of 20%.<\/strong> Likewise, there will be around 83,000 million <strong>connections<\/strong> in 2024, which implies&nbsp; <strong>a 130% increase<\/strong>, compared to the 35,000 million connections that will be reached by 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The main sector that focuses these percentages will be the industrial sector<\/strong> (where production, retail and agriculture are included), using 70% of the total IoT connections, planned for 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The IoT ecosystem will move $ 2.4 trillion in 2027.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This shows that the <strong>Internet of Things<\/strong> is growing and this trend will continue over time. The report <a href=\"https:\/\/store.businessinsider.com\/products\/the-internet-of-things-report?IR=T&amp;utm_source=Triggermail&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_campaign=BII20200310InternetofThingsReport&amp;utm_term=BII%20Marketing%20%28Engaged%2C%20Active%2C%20Passive%2C%20Disengaged%2C%20New%29%20Active%20Suppression\"><em>Business Insider Intelligence, The Internet of Things 2020<\/em><\/a><em>,<\/em> explains that <strong>the IoT market will bill 2.4 trillion dollars by 2027 and that there will be 41,000 million devices<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It should also be assumed in the evolution of this market, that it will be influenced by the use of <strong>artificial intelligence, machine learning and the Cloud<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">There has been an increase in data breaches by non-secure IoT devices, from 15% to 26%, since 2017.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Spain, due to the current situation and teleworking increase, <strong>more cybersecurity risks have been detected for companies<\/strong>. This is largely due to the fact that <strong>73% of workers have not received any security training<\/strong> and are not aware of the danger posed by the increase in spam, <em>phishing<\/em> attacks and <em>shadow IT<\/em> (use of applications and equipment of the employees themselves, which are not controlled by the companies security systems; for example, personal email, videoconference services, instant messaging, file storage, etc.).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Do not forget, the danger of the connection itself.
